If you want to make a difference, join our Community of Interest and become a Member of the Society for Total Education (STE).

Becoming a Member of the Society and joining our active Community of Interest affords you these benefits:

  • Membership of an online forum on current topics in education
  • Events that provide an opportunity to meet other like-minded people
  • The opportunity to feed into policy discussions at local, national and
  • international level
  • The chance to take part in influencing the future affairs of the Society for
  • Total Education
  • Access to our research on the concept of total education
  • Opportunity to take a lead in forming regional groups
  • Participating in raising awareness through social media platforms.


Membership of the Society for Total Education CIC gives you the right to vote at all general meetings in accordance with company law.

The information you provide in your application to become a Member of the Society will only be used to contact you regarding your membership and to make you aware of STE events. Your data will be stored and used in accordance with the Society’s Data Privacy Policy.

Membership of STE is open to anyone who wants to support our goals. It is not a platform for pressure groups.

There is no fee for joining us as a Member but as we are a not-for-profit, Community Interest Company we rely on donations from organisations and individuals. If you would like to support the work that we believe is so important, please contact our Company Secretary, Gerald Puttock, at geraldp@societyfortotaleducation.org and he will tell you how it can be done.
