Education Conference, October 2019
“There is strength in unity”, is an old proverb again proven correct in a very successful event held in October 2019 in Cardiff, when over 100 registered for an Education Conference. It was a cooperative venture by the Royal Society of Arts (RSA Wales), and ourselves. Full details of the programme and some pictures can be seen here.
Entitled, “A dawn of a new education world in Wales – what does it mean?”, it was opened by the Education Minister for Wales, Kirsty Williams, supported by the Police & Crime Commissioner for S. Wales, Alun Michael and the Chair of the RSA Advisory Committee for Wales, Professor Jane Davidson, a former Education Minister.
Topics included both the new curriculum in Wales, and the focus on ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) by the various police forces – with the goal of early prevention. This is in accord with one of the aims of STE.
